DOCUMENTS TO PREPARE WORK VISA FOR CHINA
Overview of Working Visa (Z Visa) for China
The Chinese Work Visa is intended for foreigners who have been granted a Chinese Government-issued work permit. The work permit should be arranged by the applicant’s potential employer in China and the organization must be licensed to employ foreign nationals, as well as the applicant being qualified in the respective occupation.
The Chinese Work Visa (Z Visa) is not to be confused with a Business Visa (M Visa). Business Visas are issued to those who intend to go to China for commercial and trade activities, like business meetings or trade shows.
The work visa is valid for 30 days and allows you to enter China. Upon arrival in China Lingua Education will assist with obtaining your official Work Certificate and Resident Permit (the final steps of the process).
How to Get a Work Visa in China
Disclaimer: the Work Permit System for Foreigners Working in China was fully implemented nationwide on April 1st, 2017. The rules and regulations regarding foreigners obtaining work permits described below supersede any previous iterations of these rules and requirements.
Introduction: Obtaining a proper Work Visa (Z Visa) may seem like a daunting task, especially for those who are going through the process for the first time. Each candidate must put forth considerable effort to obtain the proper documents as Lingua Education cannot get them for you directly. However, our competent staff has the experience and government relationships to make the process as easy as possible. We will be with you every step of the way and advise you on exactly how to fill out the forms and obtain the documents necessary to receive your Work Permit.
Please be aware that though the requirements for obtaining a work permit have been standardized in China, the procedure for obtaining these documents may vary depending on your home country. For example, it may take longer to receive a notarized Certificate of No Criminal Convictions in certain countries. We generally advise the candidate to allow roughly TWO to THREE MONTHS to complete the entire process from start to finish. This is assuming there are no issues in obtaining aforementioned documents, which could potentially delay the process.
We at Lingua Education focus on transparency and providing our candidates with realistic expectations. Therefore, you should allow yourself an appropriate amount of time to prepare the requisite materials. Your complete cooperation and dedication to the task is expected once you sign a contract with us and begin the visa application process described below
